We are pleased to hear from anyone considering joining the athletic club. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org including the following information in your email:-
1) full name
3) available nights you wish to train (The club trains Monday to Friday)
4) any aspects of athletics that interest you.(e.g. sprinting, middle to longer distance, cross-country, hurdles or field events)
Please note that the waiting list is currently very long, particularly for the 8 to 11 age group; it is recommended that a name is put down at least a year in advance. Athletes in this age group would train on either a Tuesday or Thursday (please specify your preference if you have one, bearing in mind that it may be some time before a place becomes available). We have a separate waiting list for over 11s. Athletes at this age group are expected to train twice per week. You will be contacted once a place becomes available and invited to attend over a 2 week period to see if you enjoy the experience. After this time if you would still like to join the club, you will need to complete a membership form and pay the relevant fee and will be contacted by the membership secretary. Ongoing payment is currently on a session by session basis, currently paid in cash directly to the coach on the training night.
New members should download a 2021 membership form, complete and post to the Membership Secretary along with the appropriate fees. Existing members please complete the renewal form and send the appropriate fees via Bank Transfer where possible. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact Kate. All discussion will be treated in the utmost confidence.

•The club will pay the £15.00 (2021 fee) so that athletes who compete for the club at a high level are acknowledged. The EA number is unique to each athlete and remains with them even if they change clubs.
•It is compulsory for all athletes over the age of 11 to be registered with England Athletics if they intend to compete at NYSD T&F & XC, in open competition, represent the club at the North Eastern and Northern and in league competitions held under UKA rules.
•Only current paid up members are registered and Coaches and Team Managers should ensure their athletes are club members first.
•Coaches and Team Managers should inform the Membership Secretary who they want registering. Not all athletes are competing athletes. Any queries please contact Kate.
