A longstanding club U17W High Jump record has been shattered after 17 years of standing strong!

Let’s give a round of applause to Anna Welford, who set the previous record of 1.60m way back in 2005. Impressive feat, Anna!

However, the bar has been raised even higher with an outstanding performance by the talented Emma Sedgwick in 2022! Emma soared above expectations, clearing a remarkable height of 1.61m at Sports City then with 1.64m at Shildon, surpassing the previous record with grace and determination!

But wait, the excitement doesn’t end there! With her incredible talent and relentless drive, what new heights will Emma Sedgwick reach this year? The anticipation is sky-high!

Charlotte again breaks club record

Exciting news from the Northern Championships! Charlotte’s stellar performances over the weekend have left us in awe! Here’s a rundown of her remarkable achievements:

Saturday: GOLD in the U20w 400m event! Charlotte blazed through the finish line, setting a NEW personal best of 55.13 seconds, while also smashing her club’s previous record!

Sunday: SILVER in the U20w 200m race! Charlotte demonstrated her incredible speed, clocking a sensational time of 24.24 seconds. Not only did she secure a podium finish, but she also achieved another significant milestone—setting a NEW personal best and a fresh club record! Additionally, her outstanding performance secured her qualification for the highly esteemed British Senior Championships!

We’re beyond impressed with Charlotte’s exceptional talent and determination. She continues to leave a trail of records and accomplishments in her wake!

Following on from a fantastic 2022 season, Charlotte Kelsey continues to break club records, Charlotte now not only holds the 100m club record which she broke at this years memorial meeting. Charlotte also holds a brace of the clubs sprint records, of 60m, 100m, 200m and 400m, what is next for Charlotte watch out at this weekends championships!

Rising Star Whitney Shatters Records!

Whitney Ofor, a true force to be reckoned with, left us all in awe with her record-breaking performances at the Kieran Maxwell and Charles Stuart meetings. Breaking the clubs U15G 200m record that had stood for five years and then claiming the 100m second-fastest time in another race just a week later is a feat that’s hard to top! So, what can we expect from Whitney and her fellow athletes at the upcoming NECAA championships? One thing’s for sure, with their determination and talent, we’re bound to witness more club records being broken and thrilling moments that will keep us on the edge of our seats!

Congaratulations to Eden Creasey

Eden broke the girls U15 1500m club record at the Northern Under-13/15/17 Championships, Wavertree, Liverpool, with a time of 4.37.03, breaking the previouse record held by Philippa Stone of 4.40.00 in 2012. Eden also came close to breaking the girls U15s 800m record, just missing out by 0.00.82 of Anna Kirby 2017 record in 2.16.17.

Emma smashes club record at NEYDL

Congratulations Emma Sedgwick on her huge pb and a new U17W club record in the High Jump of 1.64m at Shildon, held previously jointly by herself this 06.06.22, Anna Welford 17.05.05 and Ashleigh Wood 15.11.07.

Charlotte takes Gold again and another New Club Record

What a season Charlotte Kelsey is having! Charlotte won the U20w 400m at the Northern Championships at Wavertree on Saturday in a new Pb of 55.82 and club record, she then ran the u20w 200m on Sunday and won Gold again making her the Double Northern Champion.
