Congratulations and the clubs best wishes go to Philippa on been selected to compete in the England Junior Women cross country team at the Iris Cross Cup in Brussels on the 18th December, selection was following Philippa’ form at the British Athletics Cross Challenge event at Sefton Park Liverpool in November.

12.11.16 NYSD Fox Rush

"fox2-16"There were a couple of issues with athletes using unofficial race numbers, this unfortunately has led to them being disqualified.

The numbers we use have the “Northern Runner” logo at the top and their web address across the bottom. These numbers are issued in batches to the clubs at the start of the season NO OTHER NUMBERS ARE ACCEPTABLE.

Can I also ask that team managers to tell their athletes NOT to disturb the timekeepers and recorders by asking for times and positions etc. the job is hard enough without the interruptions.

My thanks to Graham Hall and the members of New Marske Harriers for putting on the meeting, another pleasant and competitive days racing even the rain (which was forecast) stayed away. The course was well marked and marshalled, we hope that you enjoyed the meeting.

Unfortunately we have not been able to arrange a meeting to replace the cancelled Croft meeting, the next meeting will be at Ormesby Hall on Sunday 15th January. Due to this the individuals points scores will be your best 5 scores from the 6 meetings except the under 11’s which is best 5 scores from 7 meetings (Includes the Thirsk relay meeting).

Details for Ormesby Hall will posted when available.

"whitby216"Please see provisional results above for the NYSD XC yesterday, sorry for the delay getting them out but there were a couple of issues which needed to be sorted before I put them out. I apologise in advance if I have spelt any names incorrectly, I did have some problems with the hand writing.

Many thanks to Tony Hare and the members of Loftus & Whitby A.C. for putting on the meeting which was well marked and marshalled. From the comments I received everybody appears to of enjoyed the day racing.

The next meeting takes place at Fox Rush Farm on SATURDAY 12th November, details to follow shortly.

There are a few clubs who are of the opinion that the male vets start at V35, it is still V40 for the Men in this league, the V35 category is only for Women.

It is a league requirement that any league club not hosting a meeting to provide 2 people to help run meetings.
