Message from the Club Committee

Hello to all our athletes, coaches, officials and their families.

We do hope this message finds you all well and staying safe.

UKA have extended the suspension of all athletics activity to May 31st. This suspension includes all organised athletics activity in the UK, including all groups, formal club activities and competitions. All physical coaching must cease and only be conducted by virtual means. This may go to the end of June.

(Message from Jill) If you need any contacts within your training groups, please email her and she will help you get in touch with your fellow athletes.

Note also that all YDL and Northern Senior league fixtures have been cancelled for this season.

Once restrictions are lifted, the club will look and see if we can provide a club competition obviously after a few weeks catching up with your training!

We are aware that everyone is having their own personal challenges, so if you would like to share something on our club website, please send to our webmaster info@fairitservices.co.uk

Look after yourselves, keep fit and see you as soon as we can.

best wishes

Middlesbrough AC(Mandale) club committee

NYSD XC at Croft – Cancelled

Hi All
I have just received an email from Darlington Harriers regarding the NYSD XC at Croft. They have carried out an inspection of the course this afternoon and unfortunately they have found parts of the course flooded. With further rain forecast for the weekend we have no choice but to cancel the meeting.
It is too late in the season to rearrange another meeting therefore the points scores from the previous 5 completed meetings will have to count as the final totals.
Hopefully, weather permitting, we will be able to hold the Relay & presentations meeting at South Park on 22nd March.

Athlete registration packs go digital for 2020/21

Many of you use my email address. Please log on to myAthletics profile and change to your own before April 1st please.

Thank you Jill

Athlete registration packs go digital for 2020/21

From 1 April 2020, athlete registration packs will be sent out in digital form, via email, rather than as printed copies.  With faster delivery, the new digital packs will also enable athletes to access key information at their fingertips and allow users to save their digital registration card to their desktop, tablet or mobile phone.  To ensure athletes can receive their packs digitally, clubs must provide a valid email address for each athlete they register and athletes should ensure their email address is up-to-date on their myAthletics profile.

Jasmine Clark

News on a former athlete: Jasmine Clark won a silver medal at BUCS indoors at the weekend in the 4 x 200m relay team and is competing this weekend at the England Indoors in Sheffield again in the 400m, so hopefully will have a good weekend. She’s then off the USA in April for 3 weeks running for the Uni at Harvard, Yale and Princeton Universities and then competing in the Penn University Relays which is an invitation event for universities across America, Canada and Europe and we are told the event is in a stadium with 80,000 spectators, so no pressure and hopefully she doesn’t drop the Baton!!!

Great to hear of your success, Good Luck for the future
