Welcome to our Road Running section
Road running is the sport of running on a measured course over an established road (as opposed to track and cross country running).

These events normally range from 5k to 10k and long distance',
such as half marathons and marathons, and may involve
large numbers of runners or wheelchair entrants.

Are you sitting on my sofa and thinking I'm "not good enough" to enter any running event, well think again.
Try out the Parkrun 5km held at Albert Park, 9am every Saturday - registration by 6pm Friday at www.parkrun.com

A fantastic way to ease yourself into competitive running, the majority of runners are unattached and wouldn't have dreamed they are capable of competing in any race, but with the support and encouragement from the Parkrun community you many feel that you want to improve, the best way is to join a club and go on to enter 10k, half marathon and even marathon distances.
