The membership Secretary will be registering paid up club members who
are U13 and above and wish to compete in any UKA competitions from NYSD

registration fee spent on them. Please note you must be registered for
the NYSD this year.
Coaches and Team managers: Please remember I don’t do this entirely 24/7
and will expect some reasonable notice of athlete registration prior to
The NYSD website www.nysd.org.uk is up and running for the Track and
Field events over the summer, you can find the dates and timetables and
results will be posted here too.
We are hoping to encourage athletes to pre-register to allow time to
prepare field cards, ensure names are correctly typed and athletes are
in the correct age group. This should make the running of the events
simpler for the officials and volunteers, as well as making the
recording of the results a little easier (I hope).
We discussed at the recent AGM sending out a declaration form for clubs
to complete with details of those they know are likely to be attending,
please find an excel spreadsheet attached, which if you would like to
send in club declarations that would be most appreciated.
If you are not the correct person within the club, please pass on to the
relevant person – thank you
I hope all this makes sense, regards

The Charles Stuart T&F Meeting
Athletics meeting to be held in memory of a local Coach
Following the passing of athletic coach, Charles Stuart, a track and field meeting will be held at the end of March at Middlesbrough Sports Village.
Middlesbrough AC (Mandale) is hosting a Track & Field meeting for its club members in the memory of Charles who died last year following a short illness.
Charles was a long established coach, official and chairman of the club. He officiated throughout the North East and was a highly regarded Timekeeper. Such is the respect afforded to Charles that many officials have volunteered to support this inaugural meeting to be held on Sunday March 25.
In addition to the track meeting, Charles’ wife Chris, and the family will be unveiling a plaque to commemorate his life in athletics. The family will be joined by many of his former athletes and club members, both past and present who will all be in attendance to honour the significant contribution that Charles made to athletics over the last 40 years.
